Studio Brief 01 & 02 | OUGD505 End of Module Evaluation

End of Module Evaluation - OUGD505 To conclude on the OUGD505 module evaluation both studio brief 1 and 2. I found both briefs equally challenging especially when conducting the research aspect. It was very hard for me to find topics which were suitable not only for the brief but also for the design part for the final submission of the modules deliverables.  For studio brief 1 - Public Spaces the aim of the brief was to design a suitable representation of the chosen event. This must be traditionally printed that mean using the process of screen printing. The screen print poster must be in the paper size A3 and the deadline for this was the 5th of May as the poster would be put up in the Level 4/5 exhibition.  When commencing this brief, I had a hard decision on which event I wanted to do a poster for, especially with the event I had researched the following events were: Leeds...

Studio Brief 02 | Product, Range and Distribution Brief | Breastfeeding Controversy - Evaluation

Evaluation To conclude for studio brief 02 - product, range and distribution I believe I have done a decent amount of research and work for this kind of brief. However, I do believe if I had more time or spent more time on this brief. I could of done a lot more for the final design submission.  At the beginning of the brief I found difficulties to what kind of issue/subject to do for this brief as that was part of the requirements. I first decided to base the issue on disabilities (universal design, work & employment and Paralympics). But when I got feedback from my peers and tutors based on this issue research. They all informed me that it would be quite difficult to present this issue. Especially on how serious it might affect the audience, so I had to e careful with what I wanted to show.  I had a few days to think about this, and I did find it very challenging to come up with designs with was related to the researc...

Studio Brief 02 | Product, Range and Distribution Brief | Breastfeeding Controversy - Final Design

Final Design For the final design of the 'Breastfeeding in Public' issue. I have done three main series posters with a repetition slogan for the target audience and public to think about when analysing the posters design. Then with the stickers the pink cartons can be distributed within the supermarkets dairy products items such as milk, cheese, creams etc.  I believe this will definitely have a big impact to how society will perceive the message of the stickers. Especially when breast milk is very similar to cow's milk. Even the substance, texture and from research the taste. The stickers can also be use for supporters of the 'breastfeeding in pubic' movement.

Studio Brief 02 | Product, Range and Distribution Brief | Breastfeeding Controversy - Final Feedback & Prints

Final feedback Prefer the red, blue and green carton toned down so the pink carton is more visual.  The stickers of the pink cartons which has a pink ring around it has positive remarks. When applying the facts onto the poster was not  aesthetically appealing as it made the poster overcrowded.  Create a brief based on breastfeeding in public. There was a bit of a challenge for me to choose between which poster should be part of my final submission. So in the end, I decide to submit a series of poster designs.  A leaflet might be appropriate to accommodate to the work I am currently producing.  Final prints When printing my final products I  decide to print out on the stain/glossy paper for the four final posters and for the stickers in a matte material.  I  originally  asked for my stickers to be printed out in A4. However, it came out in an A3 size at first I was going ...

Studio Brief 02 | Product, Range and Distribution Brief | Breastfeeding Controversy - Brief

Breastfeeding in Public Brief Referring back to the previous feedback my tutor advised me to create and write up a brief for this particular issue. This would be more helpful and demonstrate how I have stayed which the briefs outcomes. Below is the brief for the 'Breastfeeding in Public' :
