In this blog, shows my sketches being turned to vectors on Illustrator for me to experiment with colour on Photoshop.
I have experimented with the vectors by layering each one of them on one another (layering effect). I’ve done this to get an visual image of how the colours work on one another. As the process of this making a new currency for money is not digital work but using the traditional printing method which is screen printing.
By practicing this layer effect with colours on Photoshop, I can define which colours of the outlines of these vectors will stand out more against the different types of textured papers that I will mostly have some trial and errors with when printing the vectors on the Screen printing screen with the images being meshed on it.
I will need to make the outlines of both the number and symbols on the currency in quite a high resolution so no small specks will be shown when I put the ink through the screen mesh.
Here are some examples of vectors images that I have outlined from my sketches that will be the currency’s image or face of the banknote. Again following from my theme of nature notes, precious metals, gambling banknotes.
