Feedback between two Poster
I agree with the majority of my peers and tutors, the two design above are my favourite designs which I would like to screen print for the final poster design. With the film poster, I like hows theres a lot going on. However it might be difficult to get all the little details on each item of the poster.
With the beer poster, I like how simple and trendy the illustrations visually appear. However the logo may be difficult do get every single detail. Plus with the logo being so big it distracts my illustrative designs to the logo which is not really the aim of the final product of the brief.
This is why I will experiment more will the international film festival poster and this will be my final poster for the brief. To commence this development process, I will start by outlining the illustrations via Adobe Illustrator. Once that is done, I will transfer the outline on Adobe Photoshop to experiment will the colours that my peers and tutors recommend during the feedback.
- Majority of the votes liked the film tape design especially with the layout of all the cinema equipment.
- The other majority of the feedback liked the beer design the one with snack bowl and the other with the logo being the coaster.
- Lots of positive feedback from including the logos of each events on the posters.
- A few think that the beer poster with the snack bowl is too much for the poster, replace with the title of the event.
- Positive feedback on the illustrative drawings gives it a welcoming approach.
- Would be good to use colours for the film festival - red, white & black | red, gold & white | red, blue and white.
- For colours for the beer festival would be good - brown, white & black | brown, white & yellow | brown, red & orange.
- Would be good to maybe add some foiling onto the posters just to make certain bits stand out of the posters.
- Maybe a film font for the title of the international film festival will be good on the clapboard.
- Some think it will be good to use contemporary typefaces try experimenting and give again for feedback.
In conclusion, all the feedback from my peers and tutors of my designs were positive. There are only a few adjustments to the posters. The two posters which were the most popular were the following:
