Inspirations
By considering examples from variety of high-end tea/coffee tins design. The shape that inspired the shape of the 'Luxury Family Range of Cans for Tea or Coffees' origami hinged gift box. The images below of the origami hinged box conveys the influence of how the shape of the tin will be made with the base and the lids. As outlined in the brief the tins must be able to have a secondary use with this origami paper hinged box design can execute these multi-use and recyclable yet be interactive.

Illustrator Vectors
After deciding that the origami hinged box looked the most realistic tin to be made in a manufacture aspect. Adobe Illustrator will be use to see the box in 3D and for the designing aspect its best to test with vectors colour schemes. 


 

  



Colour schemes
Below are the a colour schemes that were tested on the digitalised origami hinged boxes vectors. Due to the briefs instructions it is important to follow them they stated the word 'Luxury'. Therefore luxury tea flavours are: Black Tea, Green Tea and White Tea, these selection of teas are the most popular according online. To make the design for high-end tea chinese flavour teas are appropriate choice. This is by using oriental patterns to make the packaging more luxurious and sophisticated looking.




Colour Vector Designs
Below are some vector illustration work on how the origami hinged box inspired design would be like realistic. This is the outcome that would be satisfactory for the brief.

Publication Layout - Leah For the inside of the 'Our Generation' publication, the collaborator Leah was in charge of this  brief's outcome segment. Final Design Below are the final designs of both the logo, shop sign mock up, business card mock-ups and product examples.  These choices are made by the clients.  Business card mock-ups Product mock-ups Hairdresser's store sign mock-up Feedback from client "We were very pleased and satisfied by how quickly and efficiently Katie worked and  designed the logo for us.  Everything was delivered on time. Katie always  communicated very well. We were both impressed with how she incorporated the feedback we gave into her designs, s he always consciously and aware of what we wanted overall, sent many new variations of the logo designs, always referred back to feedback and messaged us for specific information (e.g. Business card enquires) and she was able to explained her designs to us and how it would be much better (i.e. change of the colour scheme).  To conclude the final results were great.  I would highly recommend Kati...
