Studio Brief 04 - Reflective Practice - Speaking from Experience: Binding final design

In this portrays me finalising and putting together my completed  guide/tip book for new first years.  Here are some images of the printing process of my guide/tip  book for first years.  Overall, it went well. I used a ink printer to print my pages and  front and back covers of my guide/tip book. However, the pages  could not print out double sided due to the size of paper I printed  it with. As the size of the book is longer than a size A4. This meant  I had to stick together the pages back to back to make it look like  it printed double sided. Also I put the cutting points for the rubber  band in the wrong place this meant I had to place it right on the  card stock I wanted to printed it out in for the finish product.  Lucky I did this test on normal cartridge  paper than the actually  card stock. From the looks of it the colour came out very well and  there are no mistakes within the guide/tip book...

Studio Brief 03 - Collaboration Branding: Overall Evaluation

In conclusion, I believe that we as a team were very good at sharing, passing  on designs and giving tips to one another. We were quite easy as a group to  listen to everyone ideas of the concept we are wanted to produce,  But personally, I felt quite bad and guilty as I fallen ill during the time we were  trying to finalise our designs and presenting our presentation. I could only  help via the internet giving my opinions and sharing ideas on how to improve  the designs we produced as a collaboration team. But after all the hard work,  my group was able to produce great designs and an amazing concept idea  which bring all of our work together quite nicely.  I would personally like to say during my experience of this brief, that I worked with very good peers of my course. They were very understanding about my situation and work very hard for this work to be produced as we planned before we went on our Easter break.  It would be wort...

Studio Brief 04 - Reflective Practice - Speaking from Experience: InDesign Work

Here is me transferring my Photoshop pages and front to back cover  to Indesign to help me get an visual idea on what the book will look  like when printing it out from the printer.  I am also printing this book double sided, hopefully there will be  no problems when printing this out and everything will go as plan  especially with the type of paper being used. As in the past there  has been some technical problems.   Here are some images of the printing process of my guide/tip  book for first years.  Overall, it went well. I used a ink printer to print my pages and  front and back covers of my guide/tip book.  The colour came out very well and there are no mistakes within  the guide/tip book.

Studio Brief 02 - What is a Book? - Self Evaluation

In conclusion, I believe I have done well during this module of  creating and producing publications. This has been very  successful due to the previous brief of the small publication  really helped me get a proper understanding on what size, shape  would be suitable for a book with a certain amount of information  and images which I wish to put in a book. Along the way during many development and experimental work, I have definitely learned a lot of new binding techniques and  different ways of laying out pages for my book. The the headings,  paragraphs and images. Nevertheless, I have been through a lot of  trial and error during these book making process and has sometimes  been successful  and some have not. Hopefully during more of the  course I will be able to do more work like this, as it was enjoyable  to do. Due to it being very personal project brief to create. However, due to these technical problems I believ...

Studio Brief 02 - What is a Book? - Final Design

Here is my final design of What is a Book - completed Horoscope Book.  I believe my Horoscope Book is successful as I was able to combine  all my inspirational artists together like Banneckers colour scheme for  the galaxy colours, Basfords dreamy yet mystical foiling of metallic  colours patterns and finally Banksy stencil idea for my star signs for  my personal stylised illustrations.  The information for the facts, personality etc.has arranged accordingly  as it was laid  out on the Macbook. I did the writing in black ink  as my pages of acetate were sprayed paint silver glitter which would  show up better, especially with the bubble colours as it resembles the galaxy sky in space. And the silver glitter spray paint definitely  brought out the idea of the stars in the galaxy night sky.
