Continuing on from my previous blog of my peers and second years giving me some examples on how I should visually and conceptually present and layout my Horoscope book. I started researching some information about Star signs, elements (fire, air, water and earth), weaknesses & strengths, personality etc online. Then again like my previous design principles small publication, store what information and facts that I would like to be in my
Horoscope book that I will produce.
For inspirations for my Horoscope book, I started looking at some Horoscope books online: Google Images, Pinterest, Instagram etc. As well as how they layout their information and images of the star signs based on Horoscope aspect. The colour scheme that regularly occurred was the a very out of space yet galaxy colour scheme. Which has also been mention by peers and has inspired me to do a similar sort of colour scheme for
mine. However, my colour scheme will have more mystical and dreamy appearance with a slight bit of the galaxy colour theme.
To help me get that kind of that mystical yet trendy dreamy effected,I looked into a Graphic Designer Illustrator, Andrew Bannecker. Which was an inspiration for my other previous publication for this module for colour as they are very galaxy looking artwork. Johanna Basford the Illustrator who gives an appearance of mystical fairy like gold foil
fantasy and finally the Graffiti Artist Banksy, as I could use his stencil kind of style within my Horoscope book.
Also my Year Tutor (Danny) showed me an example of a previous student who also did the same Horoscope context that I am doing. The images of the book will be on the design board. Thus this has given me a good idea to approach this. Again it is very similar to
the visual design that I wanted to do.
