Brainstorming ideas for Brief
Initial Ideas
During our group discussion with Leah (collaborator) we brain stormed some potential ideas that we collected together which we could possibly produce for our brief outcomes. The initial idea was to creating a publication regarding the British-born Chinese individuals like ourselves to celebrate our culture. In addition for a BBC perspective this can become personal project for us as our time at university was place for the two of us to embrace our cultures. We also want the publication to contain tidbits and some interviews regarding matters, but keeping it to a humourous undertone or one that is not that formal.
Feedback - collected by Leah
- Prefer polaroid as a medium for photograph because it’s not structural in comparison to photographs taken in the studio setting; not serious, not magazine style.
- I think quotes from conversations will be better to use for the content rather than questions and answers.
- A picture says a thousand words, so it’s important where you photograph and how well you photograph.
- Things that would be interesting to know: how you integrated into the different cultures, how you adapt (e.g. special supermarkets).
- What culture you’re trying to show; it’s more what you want us to know.
- Fun and positive light.
- Maybe having a small theme that can be a thread for the publication.
