Luxury Tea tin Photography
To capture the Tea tin product packaging design in a realistic environment, I contacted a second year photography student, Thomas Griffiths from Leeds Art University to help and organised for him to take some photography work for my brief. We went around the city centre Leeds and specifically Victoria Gates to showcase the Tea tins in a cafe environment. Ideally I wanted to use John Lewis's retail shelves especially the shelves for their luxury tea brands to demonstrate what it will look like when consumers come and purchase the item. However, due to the stores restrictions and law we were not allowed to take photographs in the store without permission.
Below are the photographs of the packaged an unpackaged tea tins captured in many different angles. Tea leafs were also placed inside the tin packaging to demonstrate how it would be taken out and how it will be placed.
Poster design Development
Beneath are some poster design develops for the tea tin packaging designs. A combination of typefaces (sans serif and serif) were additionally added to the poster to make the poster look sophisticated and luxurious product. A slogan was also experimented in the poster, for example: 'Exceptional Aroma, Exceptional Tea'. Despite the added slogan it made the poster look uneven and unappealing it also draws away from the main product.
